Tom is our owner, one of the bench jewelers, the Gold Room Expert, and the person everyone loves coming in to talk to.

What’s your Favorite Book? Right Now- The Pendulum 

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate

What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining? Lucky

If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy? The next person who came in for an engagement ring, I would buy them the wedding ring they wanted.

 If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do? Eliminate Hunger

If you could give your younger self any advice what would it be? Enjoy the physical activities that youth allows.

What’s your most embarrassing childhood memory? Took a family trip to Wisconsin Dales and my family bought me an Indian head dress. Sitting on bench, outside, I had my arms crossed and a family came by and said “look a real Indian” I pretended like I couldn’t speak English and got embarrassed they thought I was a real Indian.

What are your 3 Favorite Movies? 1. Seabiscuit 2. Shawshank Redemption 3. Armageddon

What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been? Hawaii

What accomplishment are you most proud of? The Jewelry Store-How everyone trusts and loves to come here.

Who would you like to live like for a day? Jimmy Buffett

When you’re having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better? I’m just happy to be here. I never really have a bad day.

What is the scariest movie you’ve ever seen? The Birds

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? Alaska

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Astronaut

What’s your favorite day of the week? Whatever day I get to see the Grandkids

What’s the one food you could never bring yourself to eat? Sour Cream

What’s your pet peeve? Stupidity

What is the strangest thing you believed as a child? In the 60’s most restaurants were at hotels, and when I saw the NO VACANCY sign I thought it meant you couldn’t eat there unless you stayed the night.

What was the most recent compliment you’ve received and savored? A customer came in to have a memory repaired, when she got it back she was so delighted to see it just how she saw it the first time she received the gift. Brought her to tears. That is the best compliment.

Do you have a catchphrase? I have a catchphrase to almost everything! “I’m just straight up trippin”

If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to? Ed, so I can spell it quicker.

What is one thing you wish you would have known before starting in the jewelry business? How happy it makes everyone to be able to give them something they love, or repair a beloved piece. I would have did it years ago!

What are three words that people would use to describe you? Honest, Generous, Knowledgeable.
